How Do I Download FokisOn?

To download FokisOn on your mobile device go to the Apple Store or Google Play and search for FokisOn. You can also “Get The App” on www.fokison.com. Tap on the link for the Apple Store or Google Play that will take you right to the FokisOn app.

Do I Need To Sign Up To Use FokisOn?

Yes, you need to sign up. It takes just a minute. You can sign up with your Facebook account or your email address. If you sign up with your email, then you will need to select a player name. Tap on the circle to select a picture from your gallery for your avatar and enter your e-mail and a password for FokisOn.

What Is a FokisOn Moment?

A Moment is a period of time, from minutes to hours, where two or more people spend quality time together on social or business activities, minimizing mobile device distraction and engaging in healthy, friendly competition.

Can I Touch or Move My Device During a FokisOn Moment?

Yes. You can touch your mobile device to dismiss incoming calls, to physically move your phone or tap it to brighten your screen.

Are There Restrictions on My Device During a FokisOn Moment?

There are no restrictions on using your device during a Moment. However, taking a phone call, opening an email or launching a text or another app will exit you from the Moment. Once you leave a Moment, you cannot rejoin.

How Do I Login?

You can login using your Facebook account or your email address and your password.

Can I Plan and Schedule a Moment in Advance?

This is a future capability.

What is a Basic Moment and Who Can Start One?

Everyone who downloads the FokisOn app can start a Basic Moment and use all of the app’s basic features.

What is an Entitled Moment and Who Can Start One?

Users, authorized by their organization, can start Entitled Moments, which are configured specifically for the organization.

How Do I Start a Basic Moment?

On your home screen tap the top bar, “Start a Moment.” You should then see an arrow within the Moment Length timer. As needed, use your thumb to adjust the length of your Moment. Then just tap the arrow. By starting a Moment, you’re the Moment Organizer.

How Do I Start an Entitled Moment?

On your home screen tap the top bar, “Start a Moment.” If you are authorized to start Entitled Moments, you will be able to select your organization at the top of the screen.

Take a look at the Moment Type bar below the Moment Length timer.  If your organization has more than one Moment Type, you will see a down arrow.  Tap the down arrow to see the Moment Types you are authorized to start.  Ensure you have selected the correct one.

Then see the arrow within the Moment Length timer. As needed, use your thumb to adjust the length of your Moment. Then just tap the arrow. By starting a Moment, you’re the Moment Organizer.

When Does a Moment Officially Begin?

A Moment does not begin until someone joins. Until that time, the Organizer can cancel the Moment.

What Happens If an Organizer Cancels a Moment?

Nothing.  There are no statistical updates.

Can The Organizer Cancel a Moment Once It Has Officially Begun?

As soon as the Moment has its first joiner, it cannot be canceled by the Organizer.  Once a Moment has officially begun the Organizer can end the Moment for everyone, which you might expect as meetings rarely end at the exact time they were scheduled to end.

How Do I Join a Moment?

On your home screen tap the bottom bar, “Join a Moment.”

There are two ways to join a Moment.

If you can see the Organizer near you, tap the “Join a Nearby Moment” button.  You will receive a pop-up of close by Moments you can join.

If you are in a remote location or your location service is turned off or not working, simply tap the “Join With Moment ID” button. At the bottom of the screen enter the six-digit Moment ID that the Organizer provides you. Then, just tap “Done” to enter the Moment.

How Do I Change the Amount of Time for Someone to Join Moments that I start?

“Time to Join” is the amount of time a Moment Organizer gives others to join the Moment. From the home screen, tap the three bar icon in the upper right corner. Then tap “Join Time,” dial up the amount of time you want to give people to join your Moments and tap the “Set Join Time” arrow.

How Do I Change My Screen Background?

You can do this in two quick steps. From the home screen, tap the icon in the upper left corner and additional screen backgrounds will appear. Tap the image you want and that’s it.

How Do I Change My Avatar Picture?

If you signed in with Facebook, FokisOn uses your Facebook avatar. If you signed in with an email and password, tap the three bar icon in the upper right corner and then tap “Settings.” On the “Settings” page, tap your avatar. This will take you to your gallery. Tap the image you want and tap the select button at the lower right of your screen. That’s it.

How Do I Change My Password?

If you signed in with Facebook, FokisOn uses your Facebook password. If you signed in with email and password, tap the three bar icon in the upper right corner and then tap “Settings.” On the “Settings” page enter your new password and then re-enter it to confirm. Then tap the Update button near the bottom of the screen.

How Do I Change My Name?

If you signed in with Facebook, FokisOn uses your Facebook name. If you signed in with email and password, tap the three bar icon in the upper right corner and then tap “Settings.” On the “Settings” page, simply enter your name immediately under your avatar. Then tap the Update button near the bottom of the screen.

How Do I Logout?

Tap the three bar icon in the upper right corner and then tap “Settings.” On the “Settings” page, simply tap the Logout button at the bottom of the screen.

How Does a Moment End?

The goal is for all of the players to remain in a Moment until it concludes. A Moment ends in one of four ways:

  1. The countdown timer, showing the time remaining in the Moment, expires.
  2. The Moment Organizer ends the Moment because the meeting or event concluded early by tapping the “End the Moment” button.
  3. All the Joiners have left the Moment before it was ended by one of the above methods.
  4. The Organizer leaves the Moment, while in progress, without tapping the “End the Moment” button.

What Happens at The End of a Moment?

At the Moment’s conclusion, each player will see a display of “My Points & Level” updated with results of the Moment just ended.  Your win/loss statistics are updated at the same time but they are not displayed at the end of the Moment.

Are There Rewards for My Points & Level?

Currently, there are no rewards for Basic Moment types.  For Basic Moments, “My Points & Level” is provided to encourage productive use of the app.

Are There Rewards for My Win/Loss Statistics?

For Basic Moments, win/loss statistics are provided to encourage all participants to remain in the Moment.  Joiners that stay in the Moment until it ends, Win. Leaving a Moment before it ends is a Loss.

How Do I View My Statistics?

From the home screen tap the three bar icon in the upper right corner and then tap “Statistics.” On the “Statistics” page, you’ll be able to view:

  • The number of Moments you participated in as an Organizer and as a Joiner.
  • The total number of minutes you have Thrived In The Moment so far.
  • And, the number of minutes you’ve spent in Moments as an Organizer and as a Joiner.

Your total number of minutes will be rounded to the nearest whole minute.

Where Can I See My Points & Level?

Your Points and your Level will automatically appear right after you’ve completed a Moment. If you want to check your Points & Level any other time, tap the three bar icon in the upper right corner of the home screen and then tap “My Points & Level”.

How Are My Points & Level Calculated?

For Basic Moments you will receive 1 point for each minute you Thrive In The Moment. Joiners receive a 10% bonus for successfully completing a Moment. Organizers receive a 10% bonus based on total Joiner points.

How Do I Get Help?
